LAHORE, June 30: Four-year-old filly Noor seems set to win the feature event of the day/night Lahore Summer Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday. Noor had been beaten by gelding Zanjeer on June 17 by a short head in a photo finish which gives her an edge over her rivals.

Zanjeer is adversely handicapped at 9-9. Bay colt Charismatic, who finished third, about two lengths behind Noor, could be her main challenger this time.

This will the last race of the seven-event card featuring nine runners and is also open to class-III animals.

A dozen runners will compete in the supporting and sixth race of the day, Khushab Plate Class-V Division-I. Of them, only three seems to be real contenders on bloodline, handicap and track-work. They are: Tan Man Dhan, The Senator and Run And Win.

The Senator is the fastest of all but he will be on the track after a long absence. Why he has been kept off the course is a mystery? If not fit, Tan Man Dhan and Run And Win should fight for the top honours.

Dazzy Against All, Rana Choice and Striker are the pick of the 18 strong field of sprinters for the fifth race, a class-V division-II handicap event. Of them, Dazzy Against All is the fastest and reliable.

Chestnut colt Chinkara, who ran fast like a deer on June 10, will be on the trot to make it two in-a-row in the fourth race.

The big field has some other good sprinters like Perfect Promise, Shah Pari and Blu's Wendy but they are not as reliable as Chinkara.

Grace Glamour, Stride To Moment, Sabbat Qadam and Malang Aya are the pick of a dozen runners in the third race.

Chestnut gelding Grace Glamour, after being placed second twice ran off the frame last Sunday to surprise fans. He is expected to make amends this time and win the race.

All the races except the opener will be contested over 1000 metres.

The first race will be run over 800 metres and start at 5.30pm.
