QUETTA, June 29: Thirteen fishermen have been missing along with their vessel for five days. They were reported to be returning to their base on the Gadani coast after receiving cyclone warnings.
The vessel — Al-Shamim, captained by Mulla Bakhsh — had gone into the sea about 12 days ago along with other vessels.
According to Gadani’s fisherman Abdul Ghaffar Baloch Al-Shamim’s engine failed while it was still in the sea on its way back.
Another vessel, Al-Tariq, towed it up to the breakwater on June 25 when the cyclone hit Gadani coast. The vessel has since been missing. Abdul Ghaffar Baloch called upon the navy to help find the fishermen.
