MANSEHRA, June 29: The parents and a brother of the alleged Nishtar park suicide bomber, picked up by an intelligence agency a few days ago, have been released. It is learnt that they were freed on Wednesday in Karachi, where they had been taken and held incommunicado for many days. They reached here on Friday.

“My brother was a devout Muslim but I doubt that he was involved in the Karachi carnage. We fully cooperated with the agency officials and we will continue to cooperate,” said Mohammad Rafique, the alleged bomber’s brother. Mohammad Israel, father of the alleged bomber, his mother Zaver Jan and brother Mohammad Rafique appeared exhausted and reluctant to give any details about their confinement.
