LAHORE, June 29: All trains arrived here on Friday several hours behind their schedule owing to bad weather. An official told Dawn that Karakuram Express, Awam Express, Karachi Night Coach, Nishter Express and Sindh Express reached Lahore several hours late while Quetta Express made to the Punjab capital after 24 hours, mainly because of damage to the tracks in Balochistan.

Regarding the failure of railways signalling system that had led to disruption of traffic at the Lahore railway station on Thursday night, the official said work was on to improve the system. —Staff Reporter
