RAWALPINDI, June 29: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rana Masood Akhtar on Friday handed down death sentence to a man for killing an army personal about two years ago in Kotli Sattian.

Arshad Mehmood, the convict, will also pay a fine of Rs50,000, and in case of non-payment, he will have to undergo six-month imprisonment.

According to details of the case, Arshad clubbed to death Rashid Mehmood, a commando in the Special Services Group (SSG) reportedly with the help of three other persons on May 15, 2005. The court acquitted three other accused, Manzoor Hussain, Adil and Samiullah.
