Five killed in Mardan incidents

MARDAN, June 28: Five people were killed in different incidents here on Thursday.

Neelum Bibi allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her home in Khan Garhi village.

The cause of suicide is stated to be domestic violence. Takhtbai police registered a case.

In another incident, two people were gunned down and one was injured near Jalala village.

Liaqat Ali had divorced his wife but allegedly refused to return dowry.

On Thursday, Amir Nawab, Umarzada and Shibzada allegedly stormmed into the house of Liaqat Ali and started indiscriminate fire. As a result, Hazrat Wali and Zahir Wali were killed, while Liaqat received injuries.

On a monetary dispute, one Sultan Zeb allegedly killed his rival Quresh Khan in the Choora area.

Haroon, Afzal Khan and Ibrar allegedly shot dead their rival, Taj Mohammad.

Police have registered a case.
