RAWALPINDI, June 26: A batch of 46 Pakistani illegal immigrants, deported from Turkey arrived at Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday, the immigration authorities said.
A senior official of the immigration department told Dawn that they reached Islamabad on a scheduled flight of Pakistan International Airline at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday.
On reaching at the airport, all the deportees were taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency officials (Passport Cell) for further questioning.
The authorities said that most of the deportees belonged to Gujranwala district. All the arrested persons would be handed over to the FIA authorities of their respective areas.—Staff Reporter
