NAWABSHAH: Teenager attempts suicide

NAWABSHAH, June 26: A young boy attempted to commit suicide due to family problems in Wer Village near Nawabshah on Tuesday.

Gul Hassan 12, tried to commit suicide by consuming pesticides due to family problems. He was brought to Nawabshah Medical College Hospital where he was reported to be out of danger. Reports said that he had demanded money from his father and, on his refusal, he consumed pesticide.

Meanwhile, a man was seriously injured when he was shot at by three persons in Daur on Monday evening.

Niaz Hussain Lund 42, was seriously injured when three people opened fire at him at his restaurant in Daur. He was brought to NMC Hospital where he was admitted. His brother, Zameer Hussain, lodged an FIR and nominated Shafiq Shah, Ghulam Sarwar and an unidentified person, stating that they used to have dinner at his brother's hotel every night and when he demanded money from them, they got enraged and shot him.
