QUETTA, June 25: A man has appealed to the president and the Balochistan governor to intervene and secure his son’s release from the custody of an intelligence agency. He said that his son had been missing for a year.

Hazrat Mohammad, a labourer originally belonging to Lakki Marwat district, said that if his 19-year-old son Mohammad Akram, could not be released he should be produced in court.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said that Akram, one of his three sons, had been missing since he had gone to seek work in Qila Abdullah a year ago.

Hazrat Muhammad claimed that an anonymous caller had told him three months ago that his son was in custody.

He said that his son had requested him (the caller) to inform him that he was alive.
