LAHORE, June 23: Five-year old gelding Great Murad is likely to oblige punters by winning the feature event of the Lahore Summer Meeting at the Lahore Race Club on Sunday.

The feature event, the Mianwali Plate Class-IV Div-I, II, III, which is the sixth and the last race of the day will be run over 900 metres.

Great Murad which is trained by Mohammad Afzal and owned by Shahbaz Ali has impressive track record and is favourite to surpass his competitors.

Six entries have been received for the feature event. The others are Zargar, Golden Goal, Lucky Murad, Prince Salman and Eid.

Prince Salman and Eid are favourite for places.

The supporting event which is a class-V division-I race and the fifth in racing order has 12 runners barring last-minute withdrawal. Among them, Hellow Dancer has bright chances to overshadow challengers. Janu and The Senator are favourite for places.The race will be contested over the distance of 900 metres.

King Cobra has to prove its superiority in the first race, Chakwal Plate Class-VII Div-II-B. It is the only race of the day that will be contested over 800 metres, while all the remaining five will be run over 900 metres.

Leader's Wing and Mousaice are likely to secure places.

Grace Glamour looks hot to win the second race of the day, the Chakwal Plate Class-VII Div-II-A, with My Shanga and Stride To Moment striving for places.

Shah Pari is tipped as winner of the third race, the Chakwal Plate Class-VII, Division-I. Princess Afaq and Bone Crusher are likely to claim places.

In the fourth race of the day, Simbi has strong chances to claim the top slot. Billoo The Great and Murad The Great should fight for the frame.

The first race will start at 6pm.
