ISLAMABAD, June 22: The Foreign Office on Friday said that a report appearing in media about Khushab nuclear facilities was speculative and repetition of old versions.

In a telephonic interview to a private television channel, FO spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that a similar report also appeared in media in July last year and Thursday’s report was in fact a repetition of the same.

She said that Pakistan is a declared nuclear weapons state and it is well known to all that there are nuclear facilities in Khushab.

She pointed out that under the 1988 agreement a list of the nuclear installations is exchanged with India every year and Khushab nuclear facilities are mentioned in it.—APP
