KARACHI, June 21: The Malir town municipal administration has finalised arrangements for flushing out rainwater from the roads and residential areas in anticipation of the monsoon rains.

This was stated by Town Nazim Ansar Ahmad Shaikh. He said that the mechanical and electrical and solid waste management departments, the KWSB, and parks and services department had been alerted keeping in view the forecast made by the Met office.

He said that rainwater would be flushed out using heavy generators from the main streets and residential and commercial areas.

The nazim said that all essential equipment including pumps, raincoats, hosepipes and torches had been provided to the mechanical and electrical department.—APP
