KARACHI, June 19: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has formed a 10-member committee to prepare the party’s manifesto for the next general election.
According to a press release, the manifesto committee was formed at a recent meeting of the MQM coordination committee held simultaneously in London and Karachi.
The committee is headed by Dr Farooq Sattar and comprises provincial minister Syed Sardar Ahmed, joint in-charge, Waseem Aftab, M.A. Jaleel, Askari Taqvi, Salahuddin Haider, Ajmal Dehlalvi, Akhlaq Abidi, Hyder Rizvi and Khush Bakht Shujaat.
The committee has been asked to submit the draft manifesto to the coordination committee by July 15. Meanwhile, MQM convenor Dr Imran Farooq has appealed to the masses to register their names in the voters’ list to ensure that they exercise the right to vote in the next election.
