LAHORE, June 18: Four-year-old roan gelding Zanjeer grabbed back-to-back titles winning the Makran Plate Class-IV Division I,II,III, a race of 1100m during the Day/Night Lahore Summer Meeting at the Lahore racecourse on Sunday.

Zanjeer, ridden by seasoned jockey, Shahid Rahman and trained by Haji Ghulam Sarwar, had won the last event on June 3 and again came as winner of the feature event by a close distance of short-head as Noor gave a tough fight to grab the second position.

Wasim Khan was the rider of Noor.Charismatic rode by M Zeeshan came third.

In other races, Apex staged an upset as hot favourite Simbi failed to come on the leadersboard. Apex won the fifth race of the day titled The Swat Plate class V Div-I. Apex, trained by Babar Bhatti won the race by one length, leaving behind Jung Frau and Janu at the second and third place.

In another upset, Billo The Great won the third race of The Kala Bagh Plate Class-VII Division-I by a distance of half-length. Trained by Rashid Latif the winner left behind Princess Afaq and First Dream at the second and third places, while the hot favourite Shah Pari failed to oblige his supporters.
