KOHAT, June 18: The Rescue 15 staff of the police arrested a man after recovering a locally-made hand grenade from a vehicle at the old bus stand on Monday, police said. The city police station in its report said the Rescue 15 received a call that a suspicious-looking vehicle was standing in the old bus stand for four hours. In the rear something covered with a piece of cloth had alerted the informer to the possibility of an explosion.

The police arrived at the scene and conducted a thorough search of the vehicle bearing the number plate K-1276-KT. They recovered a hand grenade from under one of the seats.

Later, they arrested the owner of the vehicle, Jan Mohammad. The accused was arrested under Section 5 of the Explosives Act.
