Three rivers in high flood


PESHAWAR, June 18: Swat, Shah Alam and Kabul rivers are reported to be flowing in high flood, recording discharge levels on Monday of 16,413, 8,944 and 29,813 cusecs, respectively.

According to the NWFP Flood Warning Centre, high flood has been reported from Khawazakhela (Swat River), Adezai Bridge (Kabul River) and Tukhtabad (Shah Alam River). Medium flood has been reported from Warsak and Nowshera in the Kabul River, where the water discharge remained at 60,190 and 73,200 cusecs, respectively.

Similarly, water discharge was recorded at 20,868 cusecs level at the Charsadda Road in the River Naguman, while water discharge remained normal at Attock in Indus River, at 22,5400 cusecs.—APP
