KARACHI, June 18: Brisk shipping activity was witnessed at the port where three ships carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were allotted berths at QICT, MPT and Fotco oil terminal, respectively, during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release.Meanwhile, four more ships with containers, diesel oil, and furnace oil arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy remained moderate at the port where six ships occupied berths to load, unload containers, chemicals, edible oil, diesel and crude oil, respectively, during the same period.

A cargo volume of 42,912 tons comprising 36,912 tons imports and 5,372 tons of exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 483 containers during the period under review.

Four ships sailed out to the sea during the report period.
