KARACHI, June 18: Ten ships carrying DAP fertilizer containers and to load cement, ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where 11 ships were berthed to unload and load containers, coal, fertilizer and general cargo, notable among them being B. Europa, Pontonikis to unload coal, Igwt to offload fertiliser and Datian to unload and load general cargo.

Sailing was on the higher side as a dozen vessels including Oel Esteem, Soon Fu, Islamabad, Sea Brilliance and Nyzdan departed, while Tower Bridge, Gallant Wave, San Jiang Kou, Oel Victory, MOL Ability, and B-Europa are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.156m tons comprising 27,087 tons of export cargo including 10,288 tons of cement and 0.128m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Four Bay, Johar, with crude oil, Hartati, to load ethanol, APL Sokhna, Scotland, with containers.

Jiao Cheng, with DAP fertiliser, Effyn, with cola, Asian Queen to load cement, Pacific Express, and Al-Jaber, with steel.
