ANP chief to attend MPC

Published June 18, 2007

SWABI, June 17: President of the Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan said here on Sunday he would attend the Multi-Party Conference in London. The conference, he said, would strengthen the struggle of the democratic forces against the dictatorship.

Mr Wali addressed various meetings and went to different areas on the second-day of his two-visit to the district.

He said that President Gen Pervez Musharraf was not acceptable to his party with or without uniform, adding that his party’s struggle for the restoration of a true democratic order would continue.

President Musharraf should sense the gravity of the situation, hold fair and free elections and hand over power to the government elected by the people, he said.
