HYDERABAD, June 17: Tando Allahyar police used batons to disperse protesters belonging to Bahrani tribe who had staged a sit-in on Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas road for two hours on Sunday.

Reports said that a large number of men and women had staged the protest sit-in on the road blocking vehicular traffic.

Police used batons to disperse the protesters and two women, Jamal Khatoon and Hajiani, were reportedly injured.

Mohammad Bux Bahrani told journalists that a dispute over land was going-on between the Bahrani tribe and Legharis.
