PESHAWAR, June 16: An alleged robber was killed in a shootout with police after he and his accomplice looted money from a person on the Ring Road on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ashfaq Ahmad, a resident of Shabqadar area of the Charssada district.
Police claimed recovering the looted sum of Rs72,000 and a pistol from the possession of the robber. His accomplice escaped during the encounter, they said.
