4bn expected to watch Beijing Games
SHANGHAI, June 14: Organisers of next year’s Beijing Olympics expect the Games to attract four billion TV viewers across the world, state media said on Thursday, quoting the man in charge of the coverage.
“The figure will be 100 million more than that of the 2004 Athens Olympics,” said Ma Guoli, head of Beijing Olympics Dissemination Corporation, which holds the contract to supply images from the Games, Xinhua news agency reported.—–AFP
