Boy loses legs in mine blast

MIRAMSHAH, June 14: A nine-year-old boy lost his legs when he stepped on a landmine here on Thursday, witnesses said.

They said that Ismail was going home in Miramshah near the North Waziristan Agency headquarters when he stepped on the explosive device. The incident occurred at around 2.30pm.

Residents said that another boy, Roshan, was injured in a similar incident on Wednesday.
