PESHAWAR: ‘Loadshedding has hit NWFP hardest’

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, June 14: Provincial vice-president of the Awami National Party and coordinator women wing Sitara Imran has said that prolonged power breakdowns, price hike and the deteriorating law and order situation are the gifts to the poor masses by the government.

In a statement issued on Thursday, she said the federal government gave no relief to the common man in the budget.

The ANP leader said that frequent and unjustified loadshedding in the country had belied the tall claims of the government of economic prosperity.

Unfortunately, she deplored, people of the NWFP and tribal areas were the worst sufferers despite the fact that the electricity was being generated in their own province.
