KARACHI, June 13: The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) will observe June 15 (Friday) as the Global Action Day to mark the first death anniversary of Hayatullah Khan, a newsman who was murdered in the tribal areas.
The PFUJ has asked journalists working in the print and electronic media to organise rallies on the day.
The IFJ, in a statement, has endorsed the PFUJ’s calls for the introduction of comprehensive ‘safety measures’ for journalists.
