Relief goods sent to Balochistan


ISLAMABAD, June 13: On the special directives of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, relief goods were delivered to the DCO Gwadar for the rain-affected people in the coastal areas of Baluchistan.

A C-130 aircraft carrying relief goods including 200 tents, 120 mattresses, 155 flour bags, rice, sugar, pulses, vegetable oil and tea reached Gwadar on Wednesday evening. DCO Gwadar will distribute the relief goods among the affected families in different areas of the province.

A total number of 155 families were affected due to heavy rains in Gwadar, Turbat, Pasni, Ormara and Jiwani recently.

The joint-secretary Cabinet Division supervised the dispatch of relief goods at the Islamabad airport.—APP
