Man, minor girl die of heatstroke

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, June 13: One Muhammed Malook and a five-year-old girl Sanam Tunio died of heatstroke in Wagan town on Wednesday. There seems to be no letup in deaths from heatstroke as mercury keeps rising in the traditionally hot areas of the province. In most of the cases, the victims are mainly minor children and older people.

BABY RECOVERED: Police found a three-year-old baby girl Neha Khokhar detained in a house near Naudero Bypass on Wednesday after a raid and arrested an alleged kidnapper.

District Police Officer Abdul Azim Tunio told journalists that the baby girl had been missing since she was kidnapped from Nazar Mohalla on June 1. After the police were tipped off about the kidnappers’ location he ordered the SHO to raid it, he said.

He said that the arrested kidnapper was the resident of Ratodero who had recently shifted to Larkana.
