KARACHI, June 13: Four ships carrying containers, chemicals and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage. A total of seven ships, Nedlloyd Africa, Pacheco, Khairpur, Spruce Galaxy, Chemstar Brave, Stella and Adhua, were busy in loading and offloading containers, rice, chemicals, edible oil, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 74,779 tons comprising 63,332 tons of import cargo and 11,447 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Five ships, Maersk Darmstad, Pacheco, Chemstar Brave, Steela and Tarpon Santiago left the port. Nedlloyd Africa was due to depart.
