PR to start e-ticketing soon

SUKKUR, June 12: The Pakistan Railways (PR) intends introducing e-ticketing soon in an effort to run it on modern lines, said the State Minister for Railways Khalid Ahmed Lund.

Talking at the Circuit House Sukkur on Tuesday he said another plan was being finalised to start booking of tickets through credit cards by next month.

The minister said there will be a restriction to book minimum 10 tickets through credit cards. While e-ticketing would begin in August.

He said major railway stations of the country will undergo renovation besides special cells will be established to facilitate passengers.

He said complaints will also be registered at special cells.

The PR will soon start shuttle trains between small stations so that rail passengers can avail modern transportation facilities, he said.—APP
