SHEIKHUPURA, June 11: A woman was killed while three other passengers sustained injuries when seven dacoits fired at a bus on Kala Khatai Road in the early hours of Monday.

Reports said that the bus was on its way to Lahore from Narang Mandi when armed bandits signalled it to stop, but the driver pushed up the speed instead. The bandits opened fire on the bus, killing Sakina Bibi instantly and injuring Tahir Abbas, Noor Muhammad and another man. — Correspondent
