KASUR, June 11: About 70 people took out a rally against ruling party MPA Shaikh Allauddin for his alleged hand in getting a false case registered against a woman in Chunian on Monday.

The rally, led by Rana Zahid, nephew of Chunian tehsil nazim, started from Government High School and terminated at the tehsil nazim office after passing through various bazaars of the town. They also shouted slogans against the MPA and the police.

They alleged that the Chunian police had registered the case against Shamim Bibi at the beck and call of the MPA.

SHOT DEAD: Four dacoits shot dead a milkman while injured another when they did not stop their pick-up here on Monday.

Reports said that Amjad and Talat were on their way to Lahore from Raja Jang when bandits tried to intercept them near Jeonakay. The bandits opened fire when they did not comply with their orders. Consequently, both the milkmen sustained bullet wounds. They were admitted to the local DHQ Hospital where Talat died.

Raja Jang police are looking into the matter.
