Pipeline project

KARACHI, June 11: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has completed its 24 inches diameter pipeline project running 200-km from Bajara to Karachi. The additional gas will be mostly supplied to industrial and energy sector.

This pipeline with project cost of Rs2.762bn covers the difficult terrains on the right bank of Indus and will transport an additional 180 mmcfd gas to Karachi from the gas fields of Zamzama (150 mmcfd) and Bhit (30 mmcfd).

The project is part of the campaign GIREP II (Gas Integration Rehabilitation and Expansion Project) under the five-year Gas Infrastructure Development Plan approved in 2003.
