Children’s festival

By Our Correspondent

OKARA, June 10: More than 1,000 women and children participated in the first children’s festival arranged by the Okara police and the Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) here at the District Courts Complex on Saturday night.

Five to 10-year-old special children, maddrassa students and schoolchildren from rural areas were invited to the festival along with their mothers. The organisers had set up a number of food stalls and also provided the children with various kinds of entertainment. Singer Javed Ahmed performed live for more than two hours.
