Rojhan Sharqi Union Council Nazim Musharraf Khan Mazari, who is nephew of Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari, reportedly asked Dr Arjun Lal to issue a bogus medical report, but he refused.

Annoyed by the doctor’s defiance, the nazim attacked him along with his men and injured him.

In protest, Dr Lal, Dr Lajpat Roy, Dr Fida Hussain Buzdar, Dr Rashid Hussain Qureshi, Dr Barkullah and Dr Niaz Hussain resigned from the hospital and called for a strike throughout the district.

Later, the nazim and chiefs of his tribe Shamsher Khan Mazari, Safdar Khan Mazari and Atif Khan Mazari apologised to doctors through Kasmore MNA Saleem Jan Mazari and asked them to resolve the issue.

In the meantime, the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker, who is abroad nowadays, called a Hindu elder in Kashmore by phone and tendered an apology. He asked the Hindu elder to help resolve the dispute.

The Hindu elder visited Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Medical Superintendent Musa Kalim to discuss the issue.

He asked doctors to forgive the nazim, but they said they would continue strike till action against the nazim.
