Opposition senators boycott proceedings

ISLAMABAD, June 9: The opposition in Senate on Saturday boycotted the budget laying proceedings and described the budget as ‘unconstitutional and illegal’ as it did not include the NFC Award.

It criticised the bloodbath in Karachi on May 12, large-scale arrests of political workers in Punjab and Sindh and presidential reference against the Chief Justice of Pakistan. Raising anti-government slogans, the opposition lawmakers boycotted the proceedings.
