KARACHI, June 9: Players from urban and rural Sindh are to feature in the inaugural Mirpurkhas Open Sindh ranking tennis tournament which commences at the Mirpurkhas Gymkhana from July 29.

The tournament is being held under the aegis of the Sindh Tennis Association (STA) in collaboration with its affiliated unit and the Mirpurkhas Gymkhana.

The STA has sent 20 gallons of rubberised paint and other accessories to Mirpurkhas to get the courts painted. The paint remained unconsumed during the recently concluded National Games in Karachi.

The events to take place are the men’s singles and doubles, the juniors’ under-17 singles, the boys’ under-11 singles and the seniors’ 35-plus doubles.
