Pakistan CC in final


KARACHI, June 6: Pakistan Cricket Club qualified for the KCCA Inter-club Super League tournament final after Tapal Cricket Club conceded their semi-final because of serious sickness one of their players at the NBP Sports Complex the other day.

When Pakistan CC were chasing a victory target of 154, Tapal CC all-rounder Iqbal Sheikh faced some heart trouble in the ground and was rushed to the hospital.

As three players took Iqbal to hospital, Tapal CC had no option but to concede the match. As per the rules Pakistan CC were declared as winners. Iqbal was reported stable in the hospital after getting treatment.

TAPAL CC 153 in 37.4 overs (Iqbal Sheikh 24, Babar Rehman 23, Hasan Arshad 23, Zahid Ghori 18; Iftikhar Ali 2-20, Irfanuddin 2-22, Misbah Khan 2-24); PAKISTAN CC 60-2 in 13 overs (Daniyal Ahsan 27, Fazal Subhan 21 not out). –APP
