LCCI official’s statement opposed

LAHORE, June 6: Zafar Mahmood, the chief financial officer of Nimir Chemicals Pakistan Limited, has opposed the press statement issued by the LCCI official and urged the CBR to demand reduction of customs duty on import of Phthalic Anhydride.

He said the PA was not a major raw material for producing DOP and the major feedstock was 2-EH which was 68 per cent of the input.

He said Nimir was already urging the CBR to abolish customs duty on 2-EH which would have direct positive impact on DOP.
