ISLAMABAD, June 6: Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives Jehangir Khan Tareen said on Wednesday that mobile milk van service would be launched soon to provide quality and hygienic milk on economical rates to consumers across the country.

Speaking at the signing ceremony “White revolution” signed between the Pakistan Dairy Development Company (PDDC) and the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL), he said that mobile milk vans would be running in all big cities to provide fresh milk at subsidised rates to people at their door-step.

The agreement is aimed at increasing milk production through joint efforts by the two stakehol-ders.

Tareen said the country's dairy sector is working on same old pattern thus resulting in low milk production.

He said that government was taking concrete steps to increase milk production, therefore experts from New Zealand, and Australia will annually train about 100 youths in five years.—APP
