KARACHI: MQM accuses KESC of ‘criminal negligence’

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 5: Holding the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) responsible for Karachi’s on-going power crisis, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has demanded that the president and prime minister take action against the utility company’s management.

A statement issued by the party’s MNAs accused KESC officials of criminal negligence in the provision of basic necessities to the citizenry.

It said that the load-shedding, which has now been in operation for several weeks, has adversely affected the city’s industrial and commercial activities, as well the well-being of the residents.
