KARACHI, June 5: Six ships carrying containers and to load cement and ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships were berthed. They are; Wadi Al-Rayan, Sinar Bontan, Iran Shahryar, to unload and load containers, S. Kala, to offload DAP fertiliser, Zahraiv and Caribean Carrier to load cement.

Nine vessels, including Rose, Al-Kortobubi, Aka Bhum, Olympic Melody, Oel Esteem, Anette Scan, Agnesscan, Asian Queen, and Ever Govern departed on Tuesday, while Iran Shahryar, Wadi Al-Rayan, Sinar Bontang, Good Trade, Adria, Pacific Champ, and Uthai Navee are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total volume of 95,027 tons comprising 25,601 tons, including 1,969 tons of rice and 3,754 tons of cement and 69,426 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Sea Princess, to load 19,000 tons of cement, Oriental Rose to load 3,000 tons of ethanol, Oel Victory, Y.M.Moon, Iran Hesabi and Hyundai Sprinter, with containers.
