Mehran CC triumph

HYDERABAD, June 4: Mehran Cricket Club beat Prince Cricket Club Matli by 21 runs in a PCB National Inter-club cricket championship match at the Sindh University on Monday.

Mehran CC, batting first, scored 146 for loss of nine wickets. Naveed Raza top scored with 54.

Kamran Nizamani and Waqar Nizamani took four wickets each for 12 and 38 runs respectively for the Prince CC.

In reply, Prince CC managed to score 125. Apart from Fateh Mohammad, who scored 24, no other batsman offered resistance to Aslam Sand and Sheeraz Jamali, who shared six wickets between them.

In another match, Aqeel Ahmed blast 116 and Abdul Hayee hit 75 to guide Imam Cricket Club beat Rashidi Cricket Club by 109 runs at the Shahi Bagh Stadium, Shikarpur.

Mansoor Ali Shah with 87 tried to chase the target of 282 for Rashidi CC but in vain.
