KARACHI: UTP goes on hunger strike

By A Reporter

KARACHI, June 4: An under-trial prisoner, who has spent eight years in the prison, has gone on a hunger strike to protest what he describes as “delaying tactics” in processing of his case.

In an application to the Special Court-II for the control of narcotic substances, Khalid Ali Fareedi said he was sent behind bars by a narcotics smuggling mafia and certain officials who were afraid of him.
