Four arrested


QUETTA, June 2: Police arrested on Saturday four militants, including one of the commanders of Nawab Bugti, after heavy exchange of fire near Dera Bugti. According to reports, the encounter between police and militants began after a raid on Goran village, about 25kilometres from Dera Bugti.

Police returned fire and arrested four militants, including Gohram Bugti, one of the commanders of Nawab Bugti.

Meanwhile, police also arrested another accused identified only as Ibrahim from Quetta who, they said, had been involved in bomb blasts and subversive activities. According to the police, two kilogrammes of high explosives were seized from his possession.—Staff Correspondent
