DADU: Another baby dies in Dadu

DADU, June 2: Another new born baby died in the Civil Hospital here on Saturday bringing the number to five in two days. Mother, resident of Johi town blamed the hospital staff for baby’s death. She said her child was admitted in the hospital some three days back but negligence claimed a precious life.

Dr Mohammad Ismail Lashari Incharge Children Ward said the baby was brought in a serious condition as it was a pre-mature birth and the family was informed of it. The delivery, he added, was carried out by an untrained midwife and when condition of the baby deteriorated, it was brought here.

He said three more new born were admitted in the hospital in serious condition.

The EDO Health Dadu, Dr Dhani Bux said deliveries are carried out by untrained midwives and when thing go out of control, the babies are brought to hospitals.

He said action against untrained midwives will be taken.

RALLY: A large number of Government Degree College students and social workers took out a rally here on Saturday against principal of the college.

They were led by Nadeem and Abdul Razzaq who alleged that huge funds had been embezzled by the principal and demanded inquiry into the matter.
