SHIKARPUR, June 2: Three passengers were killed and seven others received injuries in a road accident near Gaheja on Lakhi-Larkana road on Saturday evening. A Larkana-bound speedy coach coming from Sukkur went out of driver’s control near Gaheja and turned turtle after colliding with a tree.

Three passengers identified as Mehboob Ghanghro, his daughter Kiran 5, and Ms Hurmat Siyal were killed on the spot. Seven others: Zahid Hussain Bhutto, Mukhtiar Siyal, Mumtaz Ali Brohi, Bashir Ahmed Brohi, Gul Khan Pathan, Naz Bibi Brohi and Hajani Brohi, were seriously injured and removed to Madeji hospital.

The coach driver fled after the accident. Gaheja police have registered a case.

Lawyers: A seven-member team of lawyers members of the Sindh Bar Council visited Shikarpur on Saturday in connection with the ongoing protest movement.
