KARACHI, June 1: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK) on Friday received reports of two cases of impersonation during the HSC annual examinations. The board officials told Dawn that vigilance teams caught one man during botany paper at the examination centre located at the Islamia Science College at Jigar Muradabadi Road. The man was accused of impersonating the actual candidate. Another man was caught from the Government Degree College Quaidabad for the same reason.

The BIEK had received a report about a candidate on May 30 who had fled with the question paper and examination copy. According to the officials, if proven guilty the candidates could be barred for a maximum of three years.
