Call to punish Hammad’s murderers


ISLAMABAD, May 30: President District Bar Association Islamabad Haroonur Rashid on Wednesday said the murderers of Supreme Court additional registrar Syed Hammad Amjad Raza should be punished according to the law.

Commenting on the arrest of four men allegedly involved in the murder, he said if these people had killed Hammad Raza, they should be brought to book.

Talking to this news agency, Rashid said justice should be ensured and perpetrators of the crime should be punished.

The federal police have arrested four accused in the case. A six-member special team under the supervision of the senior superintendent of police was investigating the case.

Hammad was killed on May 14 at his house located in Sector G-10/4 by four masked persons.

DMG OFFICERS: President of the DMG Officers Association Rauf Chaudhry on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the breakthrough in the investigation of the case. He said this showed substantial progress in the investigation which was proceeding in the right direction.—APP
