Another setback for Jones

SWANSEA (Wales), May 29: England fast bowler Simon Jones has suffered yet another setback in his recovery from the knee surgery he underwent last season and is due to see a specialist at Loughborough.

“Simon gets treated by us and he is in constant consultation with the ECB physios, but the fact that it's swollen up again after a period of rest is a bit concerning and he's gone back up to talk to them,” David Hemp, the Glamorgan captain, told the BBC.

Jones, 28, last played for England in the fourth Test of the 2005 Ashes series at Trent Bridge, the match which gave England a 2-1 lead, but he is now likely to miss the championship game against Essex on Wednesday.—Agencies
