KOHAT, May 29: Office-bearers of a local traders’ body have criticised the action against shopkeepers for not displaying the rate list and asked the district coordination officer to take notice of the unsigned price chart issued by the tehsil municipal administration officer.

Speaking at a protest meeting of the Traders Association held at Jail Road bazaar here on Tuesday, Haji Abid, Umar Bakhsh Awan and Saif Ullah Khan said that the imposition of fine on Monday on 51 shopkeepers by assistant coordination officer Mudassir Riaz was illegal.

They demanded an action against the officers concerned and asked the shopkeepers not to accept unstamped lists in future.
